A limited-edition art object by Tyler, built from used, empty spray cans.

Each piece is individually hand-finished, stencilled and marked with intentional paint drips, turning a discarded tool of expression into a collectible about the right to create, speak and dissent.

The work references Article 19 and the tension between independence and freedom of expression.

Each unit is unique due to the original used can, surface wear, paint texture and hand-finishing.

Care

Display indoors. Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture, heat and abrasive surfaces. Do not clean with solvents or chemicals; dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Minor imperfections and surface variations are intentional and part of the artwork.

ARTICLE 19, IN YOUR HAND

Article 19 gives every citizen the freedom of speech and expression. This is that clause as an object: the exact tool a wall gets painted with, stencilled, drip-marked and set down where you can see it.

USED, NOT MANUFACTURED

Every can here already had a life. Emptied on a wall somewhere, then pulled back, drained and hand-finished. The dents, wear and paint texture came with it. Nothing was faked on afterwards.

80 PIECES, THEN NEVER AGAIN

68 in the Red Independence Issue, 12 in the Black Blackout Issue. Each one individually numbered and hand-finished by Tyler. When the run ends, it ends.
